The history of Balance Group dates back to 1999, when the company's founder, Kalle Riihimäki, started operations under the name Balance Engineering. At that time, the operations were mostly about overall management of projects for equipment suppliers who were customers and applying our own expertise to these projects. Over time, the clientele changed from equipment suppliers to industrial process owners, but the tasks remained in consulting and optimizing customer processes, i.e. they were still typical assignments for a consulting engineering firm. As plans became reality, the operations expanded from process design to equipment and hardware design. At this stage, the functions and products of the Engineering side were supplemented to what they are today. At the same time as the design, the need to study the current situation of production processes in more detail grew, so suitable equipment was acquired, and a cooperation network was built to create the Services function. However, the business continued under the Balance Engineering name, but customer demand had also driven us towards complete deliveries, and the starting shot for Works parts was fired in 2010, when we made the first complete deliveries to our customers. The need to clarify the business operations was obvious, and in 2012 we took the next step, when our company was organized into its current form as Balance Group, which includes Engineering, Services and Works functions. We therefore continue to offer our customers separate design and measurement projects, but at the same time, together with our cooperation network, we enable one-stop operations from pre-design to equipment delivery
